Format: eBook
Genre: Fiction, Paranormal, Romance, Young Adult
Series: Angel Creek
My rating: 5/5 stars

Synopsis from goodreads:

A simple mission turned deadly.

Nineteen-year-old vampire Dawn has led a sheltered life within the confines of her father’s presidential headquarters. Upon being sent on a mission to revamp four goofy misfits into guardians of a peaceful little town of Angel Creek, Dawn believes that all her dreams have finally come true. What starts off as a simple task, turns into something unexpected, changing Dawn’s life forever and leading the action-loving, thrill-seeking vampire teen on a path of mystery, danger and intrigue.

When a human girl is kidnapped by a group of rogue vamps, Dawn discovers that there is more going on in Angel Creek than meets the eye. And it all connects to Ethan, the cute newcomer who seems too perfect to be true, Sebastian, the mysterious vampire with a turbulent past, and even Dawn herself. Dawn must not only succeed in revamping the troubled recruits, but must also prevent the vampire race from being overtaken by a malevolent villain who has a strange and obsessive fascination with her. As threat escalates, romance blooms, and ghosts from her past begin to surface, Dawn is sure of only one thing: her life will never be the same.

*Special thanks to Ada Adams for providing me with a copy of ReVamped in exchange for an honest review.*

When I first read the description for ReVamped I was instantly intrigued and had a feeling that I would enjoy this book--I couldn't have been more right! ReVamped proved to be way more than your typical vampire story; with a fast-paced plot and an incredibly inventive story line with a lot of depth. It is definitely safe to say that Ada Adams has been permanently added to my list of favorite authors, and I really want to give her an enthusiastic high five for writing this delightful book!

This book surrounds Dawn, who is the female protagonist and an all around fierce chick. Dawn is ecstatic when her father sends her on her first official mission to a quiet little town called Angel Creek, where she is charged with the task of whipping four misfit vampires into Guardians of the town. But after she gets there she quickly becomes sucked into something bigger than she imagined, and she soon starts to uncover clues that will lead her to a revelation that turns her world upside down. I like Dawn completely; she's funny, smart, badass, and she can single-handedly kick some serious butt. I felt for her at times, because she had to endure some traumatic things in this book, but she's strong and I admire her for that. She starts out as a strong young woman, but grows into something even more fierce.

I had a lot of laughs and "oh my!" moments while reading this book. Dawn's training sessions with the eclectic group of guardians--whose names are Brooke, Sophie, Seth and Hunter--were comical at times, since they really were quite the motley crew. But somewhere along the way they all became friends and like family to one another, and I loved that! Do you want to know what else I loved? SEBASTIAN. On my goodness, I can't get enough of Sebastian! He started off being a bit of a tool to Dawn but after we get an explanation for this, it makes sense. The progression of their relationship was entertaining and very mysterious at times, and they have some undeniable chemistry for sure. I know that I'm certainly swooning over this guy! Ethan, Dawn's other admirer, is pretty swoony as well, and he certainly made a great addition to Dawn's team when some intense scenarios started to play out.

This was definitely a hard book to put down, especially when secrets from Dawn's past started to surface--secrets that Dawn was sheltered from and unaware of until now. I'm not going to give anything away, but I will say that all of the mysteries in this story that unfold are shocking and amazing! Some of the character's connections are those that I never saw coming, and I had several jaw-dropping experiences while reading this book.

So basically, I think everyone needs to read this book! Especially if you are into the paranormal genre and are looking for something completely unique and fantastic to dive into. This book rocked my socks, and I can't even express how excited I'll be when I am able to get my hands on ReAwakened, which is the next book in this series!
